Privacy notice

Last updated October 15, 2026

This notice explains what personal data WildField Ventures collects through wildfield.vc and by email, why, and what you can do about it.

Who we are

WildField Ventures is a venture fund based in the United States. It is responsible for the personal data described here, as its controller. For anything about your data, write to hello@wildfield.vc.

What we collect, and why

When you visit the site

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web server, it receives your IP address, your browser’s details and the page you ask for, and keeps them in short-lived logs to deliver the page and keep the site secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Vercel Web Analytics

We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics. It sets no cookies and does not store your IP address: a visit is recognized by a hash of the request that is discarded within a day. We see totals only, such as pages viewed, referring sites, countries and device types. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing how the site is used (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Google Analytics

In the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland (“Europe” below), Google Analytics loads only if you press Allow on the banner. If you decline, or do not answer, it does not load and nothing is sent to Google. Everywhere else it loads with the page, and you can turn it off with Cookie settings at the foot of every page. We tell the two apart by your device’s time zone, which stays on your device.

Once it loads, Google Analytics sets cookies (listed below). It records the pages you view, the buttons and links you click, how far you scroll, how far each run gets if you play the game at the foot of the home page, the site that sent you, your device and browser, and your approximate location, derived from your IP address, which Google Analytics does not store. Advertising features and Google signals are off, and data sharing with Google is switched off. Legal basis, in Europe: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).

When you email us

If you write to hello@wildfield.vc, we receive your name, your email address, what you write and what you attach, such as a pitch deck. We use it to consider your company, to reply, and to keep a record of the companies we have looked at. Legal basis: steps you ask us to take before any agreement, and our legitimate interest in assessing investment opportunities (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).

Cookies and similar storage

You can change your answer at any time with Cookie settings at the foot of every page. Declining stops Google Analytics and deletes its cookies. The site does not act on your browser’s Do Not Track signal; Cookie settings is the way to turn Google Analytics off.

Who else processes the data

Service providers process data on our behalf, under data processing terms:

We do not sell personal data and do not use it for advertising.

Where the data is processed

We are based in the United States, and Vercel and Google may process data there too. Where their processing moves data out of Europe, it relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect what was done before. Write to hello@wildfield.vc and we will reply within one month.

You can also complain to a data protection authority, in particular in the EU or EEA country where you live or work, or, in Ukraine, to the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights.
